An interesting background of specialisms
including stone restoration and sculpture conservation, has influenced
Robert greatly in his present work as a stone carver.
Using principally Portland and Ancaster Limestone, he produces
beautifully carved and finished curved forms inspired by shapes in the
natural environment. The pieces are both visually stimulating and
highly tactile.
Robert also teaches carving in the sculpture departments of
Northampton College and Leicester University. Robert is pleased to
undertake commissions. |
