Ben was born in London in 1970 and gained a BA Hons at Newcastle Polytechnic. He has been working for a leading British design company since 1998.

Colours, shape and balance are drawn from landscapes and the environment.

The canvas, often drawn onto many times, with boundaries and forms changing to balance with the competition. The thoughts and ideas develop with the work becoming simple or more complex. Iridescent tones and harmonious shapes often bond with lines and scratches in the pictures, forming connections but also breaking them, portraying a feeling of calm, stillness and sometimes isolation.

Commercially his work reflects both his fine art training together with current trends in creative design.

Ben now lives in Cornwall with his wife and three children.
