Rachel Thompson
Rachel Thompson has been developing her decorative design work since completing her BA and MA in Surface Design in 2000. This includes using a variety of techniques to apply oxide to create a contrast of painted, drawn, stencilled and press moulded effects. These are applied directly to hand-built and mould-made functional ware. Creating an interesting translation of her loose, free and organic drawing style inspired by natural forms. The white and blue ware is simple and contemporary. Each piece is original and individual. |
