Peter De Rygesbii
Following art college education at Goldsmiths, London, where he gained a first class honours and later at Bristol, Peter de Rygesbii was subsequently awarded a travelling scholarship to study Inuit sculpture. During the 1960s he collaborated on several public sculptures and worked for a period as assistant to Henry Moore. He has travelled widely throughout Europe and the Far East. Spending many years teaching fine art in Europe, the U.K. and in the United States. He has been artist in residence in various art academies such as Tokyo, Gobrovo, Bulgaria and Philadelphia. Peter continues a tradition of drawing inspiration from diverse cultural influences, seeking to examine the metamorphic processes of time upon memory. |
