Growing up in South Africa we were always outside playing at the lakes and dams near our home. As a family we often used to visit the Natal coast for holidays. Playing in the rock pools was a favourite pastime. Going fishing for breakfast really got me hooked as that was where I experienced all the flavours and smell of the sea for the first time and also where I met my first shark! I try to convey my passion for the sea in my work and sincerely hope this comes through in each piece.

Each bead in my bead collection is individually made by hand. After making it I put it in to a kiln and annealed, which streathens the glass and makes it very durable - Peter Barbarovich
