Myra Hutton
Textiles artist
  Myra studied textile art, dress and textile design at Ikley College and soon after joined a 'makers' co-operative selling her work in Hemel Hempstead and Covent Garden. She also took up teaching at an upper school. After raising a family she resumed her teaching career in Milton Keynes until, in 2003, she decided to rekindle her creative interests.

Myra's current work explores colour and texture through a fusion of her own hand-dyed silk, hand-made felts embellished with threads and papers embellished with beads, wire and feathers.

Her current work draws on the rich colours and textures of landscape, sunsets and seascapes whilst a sense of sun can be seen in her birds and figurative work.
