Hazel Burnham
Hazel studied glass techniques and technology at The International Glass Centre, Brierley Hill, West Midlands, 2003-2004. In 2005 she was awarded a grant from the Arts Council to buy an Architectural Kiln. At the same time she moved in to a new studio at the Ropewalk Contemporary Arts and Crafts Centre in Barton-upon-Humber, North Lincolnshire, from where she now works. Hazel uses a variety of techniques including kiln forming, glass painting and leading. Finding inspiration from everyday life and daydreams, she seeks to translate what she sees and imagines in glass. She enjoys bringing fun, vibrancy, colour and the unexpected in to her work and ultimately into lives of others within homes and workspaces. |
