Catriona Cameron
After gaining a degree in Fine Art from Plymouth University in 1996, Catriona worked in several different creative capacities, including working as a chef and as a gallery curator. She moved to South Africa and during the three years she lived there, she built up her jewellery business, designing and selling her goods throughout the country. She was motivated by the African beadwork tradition employed in South Africa, and drew inspiration from the light and colours of the Cape landscapes, skyscapes, and seascapes. Often the beads and materials inspired her and Catriona enjoys utilising silver and semi-precious stones, many of which are from Africa. Catriona moved back to London in 2000 from where she continues to enjoy making her jewellery. |
